Quick 4m Dipole
Or any frequency dipole for that matter. Simply adjust the legs to suit, but the concept is the same. HF dipoles may require different materials in order to support the longer elements
Dipole center insulator and so239 adaptor from a G5RV
But just the dipole insulator straight onto coax would work. Best to add a choke to reduce common mode currents (i haven't done this yet)
Polyweave insulated wire was used for the elements with trial and error trimming of each element using the VNA to get the best SWR at my desired frequency (70.5 MHz)
Finished Antenna
White electrical conduit used to hold the wire straight which slots through holes made in a weather proof electrical junction box found in my spares. This way there is anough room to have the SO239 conenction inside the box to keep it out of the weather. Single U bolt used to clamp onto the mast.
This antenna is currently on my 4m band of the WebSDR
