This was an otherwise brand new unit that had been dropped causing the clutch mechanism on the motor to jam. A simple strip down revealed the white plastic pinion housing to be misaligned causing the motor to jam solid. I simply undid and reseated then put it all back together.

Word of warning.....Be careful when opening the lid that you dont lose all the bearings. They are messy too so wear gloves.

Now I have a perfectly working Yaesu Rotator!

You can see the motor mounting plastic has cracked due to the impact but after reseating it all, this crack is not causing any issues to operation. Antenna weight is held by the heavy duty Mast bearing I have installed. However, I must be careful when changing direction of the rotator to allow it to stop first so that extra stress doesn't get put onto this mount.
